Black Isle Veg Boxes deliver organic, seasonal vegetables. We grow as much as we can on our 20-acre croft on the Black Isle and collaborate with other organic growers to provide a good variety throughout the year.

Our croft sits in the heart of the Black Isle near Killen, Fortrose.
The land has been certified organic since 2002, and its rich loam soils support vegetables, fruit, herbs, and forage for our sheep, chickens, and bees.
We specialise in leafy greens such as spinach, chard, and salad leaves, but grow a range of produce throughout the year. To keep the boxes varied, we also work with other organic growers so there’s always something fresh and seasonal inside.

Farming has been in our family for generations, and organic methods are nothing new to us.
Dan, founder of Black Isle Veg Boxes, brings a BSc in Organic Agriculture and over ten years’ experience working on other farms. He combines knowledge and hands-on skill in everything we grow.
Black Isle Veg Boxes is a natural progression, grounded in a commitment to growing and supplying organic, healthy, and delicious food.

While vegetables are our focus, we also offer extras such as fruit, eggs & dairy, bread, essentials, meat, dried flowers, willow baskets, wool, and plants.

Organic farming focuses on healthy soil, biodiversity, and natural growing methods.
On our croft, this means working with the seasons, building soil health, and growing crops without artificial fertilisers or pesticides. We believe this not only produces tastier vegetables but also supports a healthier environment.
We grow as much as we can on our croft, especially leafy greens.
By collaborating with other organic growers and suppliers, we ensure your veg box is always full of variety while continuing to support organic farming.
