All fresh produce is 100% organic certified and fully traceable. Anything we can’t supply from our croft comes from organic wholesalers and certified growers. Nothing is air freighted.
Some items, like local honey, can’t be organic because bees forage over wide areas and it isn’t possible to verify where they’ve been.
As for meat, unfortunately we don’t have a local organic abattoir, so our animals can’t be sold as organic meat. However, they are raised to the same standard of care. Other meat we supply comes from farms we know and trust.
Box contents depend on the season, what’s growing on our croft, and other organic farms. Contents are published weekly (usually Friday evening) but may change at the last minute due to availability or quality. Log in to your account to see upcoming boxes.
In addition to our veg boxes, we offer a range of extras such as fruit, bread, coffee, eggs & dairy, juice, kitchen cupboard items, oat milk and ferments. We also sell meat and unique ‘From the Croft’ items like dried flowers, willow baskets, wool, and plants.
Yes - you can tailor your box to your preferences using the likes/dislikes menu in your account. Swaps can be made manually or automatically. Automatic swaps match similar value (but not necessarily weight), while manual swaps may be higher, lower, or the same value, with any cost difference added to your bill. You can also build your own box by adding items to your basket (minimum spend £25).
Future box contents are visible when logged in. Amounts are usually similar to those listed on the website. If not logged in, the current week’s box shows from Monday until the next week’s contents are published (usually Friday evening).
