Organic bay leaves from Poyntzfield Herb Nursery, commonly used to enhance soups, stews, sauces, and slow-cooked dishes. Added whole during cooking and remove before serving.
Fresh leaves can be kept in the fridge and used within a week. Dried leaves can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
Poyntzfield Herb Nursery was established in 1976 in the walled garden of Poyntzfield House. The nursery has expanded from around 70 varieties to over 400 herbs from around the world, along with over 100 seed varieties. They focus on producing healthy, chemical-free herb plants with strong flavour and resilience, suitable for both home gardens and culinary use.
All plants are grown to Demeter Biodynamic/Organic standards, without artificial fertilisers, pesticides, or herbicides.
